Sweet Dough Things started from a very simple place: I wanted to make sweets that made people happy.
I have always loved the joy that comes with treating yourself or sharing something sweet with someone else, and for me, candyfloss does that so effortlessly. It is nostalgic, playful and instantly makes people smile. I wanted to take that feeling and give it a more modern, thoughtful twist.
At the heart of the brand is our sugar free, vegan friendly candyfloss. One of the things I am proudest of is that it still gives people that same familiar candyfloss experience they know and love. It is light, full of flavour and genuinely delicious. It does not feel like a compromise or a lesser version of the original. People are often surprised by how good it tastes, and that is exactly why they come back for more.
What started as an idea has grown in ways I am really proud of. We have taken Sweet Dough Things into corporate spaces, built brilliant retail and distributor relationships, and even sold into France, which still feels surreal when I stop and think about it.
For me, Sweet Dough Things has never been about making sweets for the sake of it. It is about creating something people remember, something that feels a little bit special, and something that brings a smile the moment they see it.
“If it makes people smile, sparks a memory, or makes someone feel included, then I know we are doing something right.”
